You know there are those people you come across that you feel you’ve known forever…people who are so easy to be around? Well, Mary Abigail and Paul, along with their family, are those people.
I first met them when I photographed their wedding way back in 2004 and thanks to modern technology (aka facebook), we’ve been able to easily keep in touch.
So when Mary Abigail called me a few weeks ago about photographing Jim Beau for the CHERUBS Organization, I couldn’t say no. Seriously it all worked out so well, it was totally meant to happen! Mary Abigail and Paul now live in Kingsland, GA and were going to be vacationing in Fort Morgan on the same weekend we would be there, so we knew we had to get together.
CHERUBS (The Association of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Research, Awareness and Support) is an organization dedicated to helping families affected by CDH by searching for the cause, prevention and best treatments of Congenital Diaphragmatic through research and awareness while supporting the CDH community.
Miraculously, Mary Abigail and Paul learned of Jim Beau’s diagnosis of this hernia before he was born and was prepared for the treatment. You can read more of their story here. Really. Grab a cup of coffee; it’s a really touching story.
Here are some favorite images from the afternoon.
